And We Have a Lovely Specimen Here...

I'm back with another doodle related to that one I posted at the beginning of this wonderfully short month.

No, the Entenō do not have a separate tribe for women. This is a group of young feminists that have decided to separate from their ancient traditions and form, instead of the typical tribe, a "clan" of only women Entenō and their eventual offspring. As all Entenō are naturally gifted with survival instincts and great physical strength and character, these girls don't really need a man anyway besides for making more little feminists. Nomi is, ironically enough, Ecktoh's niece through one of his older sisters (yes, he's the baby :3) and was even taken into consideration for pairing up with her cousin Rimmu (not drawn yet) as the next power couple of the Blue Tribe. BUT, she turned him down and got fed up with the old patriarchal ways and broke away from her birth tribe to convert other girls to her modern thinking. It occurred to me that I forgot to draw in her tail so we'll just say it's right behind her and all members of her species have claws and sharp canines, the better to hunt with.

Stickers Now Available

Hello. I am proud to announce that after about a half a year of deciding to pursue this little business venture, I am now able to offer printed stickers for purchasing. If you are new or don't remember, I made two posts about how I was making stickers and finished designing them in July of last year (the right hand side of this blog has the links) based off of my very own original characters.

This is a preview of their appearance but I must say that I made these on the large side so that they would be easier for me to draw, therefore the stickers for the main characters are a little over 2 1/2 inches tall and about 2 inches wide not including their name, which can be made a separate sticker upon request. I still need to set up a PayPal account but you may pre-order in a sense by leaving a comment showing your interest and I will be glad to accommodate you as soon as I can. I have a limited supply at this moment to start with but I can tell you that the sheets are 8 1/2 by 11 inches (normal size paper in the U.S.), contain 8-12 stickers depending on preference of the customer, will not be packaged as a full sheet but as the individual stickers already cut as I do not have the equipment to stamp them out at this time and for now in just a mailing envelope, they are matte as in no shine, and I plan on making them available for $3 U.S. dollars. There may be additional cost added for cutting out separate name stickers and for cutting in the form of an outline as that requires a little more work, especially for outline cutting done by hand.

They are good for decorating notebooks and binders, phones and/or phone cases depending on the size of your phone and positioning of the camera... basically anywhere that will not come into contact with water and where you may have decorated with stickers before. For now these are the only designs available but I have plans on creating more so be on the watch and I hope to back later this week with another doodle.

It's The Dynamic Doodle!

Hello. I had a nice weekend, I hope you guys did too ^-^ Sunday, while I was at a party, my sister suggested an idea that she thought would be fitting for Valentine's day (Singles Awareness Day/I Hate This Day for me) and I finished it with a hilarious twist and decided to doodle it:

It's a lot easier to read when it's bigger but it's Nananananananananananana, BATMAN! (and Robin) Obviously not very lovey-dovey and I originally intended for Batman to go back to his usual nothing-phases-me-even-though-they-really-do demeanor after getting a tad emotional but that required another panel, more drawing and eeeeeehhhhh, I wasn't up for that. And yes, today my signature is a bat just because.

Ya Miss Me?

I said last week not to expect me on Friday. I meant it as I probably won't have anything ready for you but Mother Nature came on Thursday and decided to mess up my phone and internet (the phone cables in our neighborhood are old and crappy so just about every time it rains we lose the signal). It wasn't until Saturday that it was finally fixed (it was that messed up) and we came back to the 21st century. Isn't it ironic? Don't you think? (I heard that song today and I will stop with the parentheses now) Well, yesterday I was wondering what to doodle and I decided to resuscitate an old character.

It's Saru in winter gear! It hit me that I pretty much introduced her last spring and then abandoned her afterwards. Not that she is a main character, she just kind of pops into Mike and Sandra's lives at what they would consider the wrong time: she's introduced when Mike and Sandra are moving in together after their wedding and moves in basically causing a little chaos, moves out for Midori to come into the picture, moves back two years later, moves out to go to college, then magically reappears over a decade later to introduce the Morgans to her young family. So yeah, she's not a constant character but she tends to play an important part of the story when she's there so I really shouldn't be forgetting her. I know her shoulder looks awkward but I still struggle with that part of the anatomy and it was just so hard to get her hands right. The backpack strap belongs to a very small backpack that wouldn't really be noticeable at that angle and let's just say her arm is hidden behind her. Saturday I have a day-long thing going on and I have to get ready for it the day before so even if I could get something done by then I probably won't post that day so till next week, this is Mich Doodles signing off.

That's the way we became the Brady bunch

Everyone remember the Superbowl this Sunday? Well, I didn't know the teams that were playing till a few hours before (I don't follow football or any sports outside the Olympics for that matter) but I did hear a lot of talk about Tom Brady so I got an idea for a meme Saturday night:

Not my best work but I think you get the idea. My mom doesn't really like him (she's partial to Peyton Manning's personality) and I don't go crazy over celebs, especially sports players, so Tom Brady is, well, meh. I was gonna give Alice the same "plastic surgery" but then I thought nah, she's only the help. If anything, this makes it funnier because she looks she wants out. I don't really have anything else to say except that the Superbowl wasn't that interesting because my mom and I muted it to watch animal documentaries on youtube and unmuted the TV every time a commercial came on because I quite literally watch it only for the commercials and halftime show and Katy Perry was more entertaining.

The Invasion is Coming...

Oops, I did it again... I went another week without anything new on here. Well, it all started with a picture I finished last Wednesday but then decided that it might be too soon to let the cat out of the bag (meow - stick your head back in there you mangy...) so I started another in the same style and universe as the first with plans to finish it on Friday. But Friday was just busy so I never got a chance to even turn on my computer :( . But now I'm back from outer space!

This is an alien creation of mine. See what I did there? ;) This guy, Ecktoh, is of the species known as the Entenō, an obviously humanoid shaped, pointy eared, tailed (yes, that's a tail, not his privates - those are nicely covered with his loincloth) creature. Not all of them are blue-skinned; Ecktoh is the chieftain of what is known as the Blue Tribe and he also happens to be of this color. His loincloth is actually specially designed to show that he's the head honcho and of which tribe, too. Please don't go by my katakana, that is the closest approximation that I could make due to the nature of his name.
Did anyone hear about the Hispanic princess? I found it funny that a week after I post a doodle with a complaint about the lack of one in the Disney lineup even though I completely forgot to be specific about that in my post, an announcement is made about a Latina princess named Elena. Did someone actually hear me or is this just coincidence? Hehehe, anyway, I plan to be back real soon so stay tuned.
